Since 2003, Sea Ventures’ MRU has installed vessel moorings and speed limit buoys throughout Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra Islands. Sea Ventures’ MRU provides all of the required vessels staff, supplies, tools, and equipment needed for these installations. Prior to installing moorings or buoys, our team conducts an initial site assessment to develop a plan for the spacing and placement of buoys to minimize impacts to benthic substrate. All installations are conducted using specific dive safety plans and procedures.

Upon completion of the installations, the MRU team provides the client with a project report which summarizes the methods conducted, the results of the initial site assessment, and underwater photos and any other documentation recorded during the project period.
